The Landing at Estes Park Wedding Flowers
If you’re looking for the perfect wedding venue in Estes Park that blends rustic, cozy elegance in the heart of nature, you’d be hard pressed to do better than The Landing!
Their cabins are nestled right on the Fall River and the property sits just outside the gates of Rocky Mountain National Park. They are proud to offer guests, “simplified luxury with designer finishes, stunning access to nature, and warm Rocky Mountain hospitality.” We are proud to be a wedding floral designer on The Landing’s preferred vendor list and the Wild Blossoms team had a fantastic time layering the venue in lush, citrus blooms for this mid-August wedding. Here are a few ideas of how you can transform The Landing into a floral experience for your guests!
River Site
The river site provides an excellent backdrop for your ceremony and you can add florals in tons of creative ways. This spot offers flexibility so you can choose anything from ground arrangements to our inventory of steel arches to add that focal floral pop in front of the lush greens and blues of the landscape. The space can also be used for a cocktail hour set up.
Outdoor Spaces
The Landing offers some great outdoor options for adding floral interest. Our bride chose to include flowers along stairways and banisters as well as the welcome sign and seating chart table. This set the tone for their reception and created a garden-inspired mood from the moment their guests arrived.
Reception Hall
One of the show-stopping elements of The Landing venue is their incredible reception space! Vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams, tons of windows for natural light and long wooden tables create a great balance of airy, rustic elegance.
Our bride chose stunning garden-inspired floral runners for her centerpieces that seemed to grow out of the table. These floral runners added tons of color that paired perfectly with the warm wood and clean white walls of the reception space.
But the options don’t stop at table decoration! The Landings has a large stone fireplace that can really come to life with the addition of flowers. And, one of our favorite touches, is adding flower garland and vining greenery to the light fixtures to carry the floral aesthetic throughout the entire space.
Cake Backdrop
Perhaps our favorite part of wedding floral design at The Landing is crafting a cake landscape that can double as a photo backdrop. For this couple, we used our steel rectangle arch as the base structure and added long line flowers hanging at various heights to create undulating variety and interest. The cake was focal point with peonies, lisianthus and zinnia cascading down one side in a lush floral design. It all came together to create a great floral moment! You could even move the cake table later in the evening and use the flower backdrop for photos.
Farewell Brunch
The morning after the wedding, we reworked the floral runners from the reception into a clean and simple design as centerpieces for the farewell brunch. This is a great option that allows you to repurpose some of your flowers and give them a second life. (Of course the ultimate way to sustainably repurpose is to have them pressed, preserved and transformed into art on your walls!)
An Estes Park Destination
The Landing is easily one of the best spots in Estes Park to hold your wedding. It’s the perfect blend of nature and luxury with on-sight lodging among some of the most beautiful mountains in the country. And if you need any further convincing, just read the amazing love story behind this gorgeous venue and the original owners who built many of the stone buildings by hand.
We are honored to be a preferred floral designer for The Landing at Estes Park’s wedding couples and we love bringing their visions to life in this incredible setting.
