Pressed Flower Bouquet Preservation

The day is over, the people have gone, but the memory can last forever. One of the floral design services I am most passionate about is using your flowers to create a tangible memory. My signature process involves turning pressed flowers into a one-of-a-kind art piece that complements your style and stands out as a decor piece in your home. I am proud to be among the few to offer this unique service and can preserve bouquets from all US distances.

“I absolutely love my framed wedding flowers! Elycia did such a fantastic job, she sent ideas, recommendations, and communicated with me throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Elycia’s work to anyone who is looking for help in ways to preserve their wedding flowers.”

“The flowers were my favorite part of the entire wedding décor! Words can’t describe how beautiful my bouquet was. I’m excited to keep it as an art piece hanging on the wall for years and years to come.”

“Elycia really comes full circle in her sustainable approach – she offers preservation services so that you can continue to enjoy the memories long after the day of. She created several beautiful pieces for us from our event flowers, and they are on prominent display in our home! We cannot imagine our wedding without the exceptional work and efforts of Elycia!”

Caring for Your Flowers

Caring for your flowers after your event make sure flowers are in fresh clean water. Keep flowers away from direct sun. Store in a cool dry area. Careful not to freeze flowers in a household refrigerator. Flowers should be kept away from ripening fruits that release ethylene gas.

When your flowers arrive I will unpack and inspect. I will update you on the quality and begin to deconstruct the design into individual blossoms, petals, and leaves. These bits are strategically placed in the flower press between sheets of vellum paper. Once pressed and dried, I arrange them to create a one-of-a-kind design. Custom projects welcome! Each project takes a minimum of 4 months from start to finish.

Let’s Talk Logistics

Please let us know if you will need to ship your fresh flowers to our studio, we have designed a process for you to get your flowers here fresh and safe.

Investment includes; initial consultation by email or phone, photo update with project proposal, 1 set of photos with design layout, finished pressed flower art with your choice of framing design.

I create my art using the flowers that look the best, have retained their color, and or have interesting textures/shapes. In a sense I let the flowers tell me what to do. Pressed white flowers work the best amongst other colorful flowers. If you’re going all white and green large grapevine wreaths filled with greenery are beautiful and may be a more suitable option. It is helpful to have a centerpiece or two in addition to your bouquet when creating wreath sets.
